Biography

Emily Hume is a Care Paralegal based at Foys Solicitors’ Doncaster office. She joined Foys Solicitors working in the family department in 2018.

Emily assists with both public and private law matters relating to Children Act and Divorce. Emily also attends public law outline (PLO) meetings and assists clients throughout this process, attending meetings and advising clients’ throughout.

Emilys legal career started at 18 immediately after leaving school, Emily has gained experience throughout her time at Foys and has progressed in her career. Emily began working for Foys in 2018 as a Secretary in the family department. In around 2022, Emily began working as a Family Clerk and finally, became a Care Paralegal in 2026.

Approach

Emily’s approach to Children Act proceedings and divorce is sensitivity and efficiency with a no-nonsense approach.

She takes pride in offering realistic advice. She places great emphasis on understanding the clients’ position from the outset, keeping advice simple and clear throughout.
